Description

The Stratale describes Edward de Bono as a sensitization technique. Five non-contiguous statements are formulated for any given initial situation. This detour can then be used to identify ideas that are connected with these statements in a new, previously unnoticed context.

This creativity method is based on several layers (strata is Italian for layer), which rather unconsciously influence the brainstorming. The different statements each serve as a layer or level, which are not connected, but are nevertheless linked by the brain, and can thus evoke new ideas.
