Description
The Future Workshop is a participatory creativity technique that goes back to the journalist and futurologist Robert Jungk. The method, which Jungk developed in the late 1970s together with his fellow researchers Rüdiger Lutz and Norbert R. Müllert, offers the opportunity to solve existing societal problems with fantasy and
to face new perspectives.
People who are affected by a concrete problem and the subsequent decisions on action are involved in the planning process. Irrespective of age and level of education and under the guidance of a moderator or a team of moderators, they contribute their imagination, wishes and visions to solving the problem.
By deliberately releasing the unused creative potential of the participants, this method can be used to find new approaches and develop common future perspectives.
