Description

The IdeasSedCard is a tool (worksheet in DIN A3 or DIN A2 landscape format) for idea enrichment, idea characterisation, early prototyping, idea testing and idea evaluation. It was developed by Benno van Aerssen in the last five years. The IdeasSedCard was created while working with the innovation method Design Thinking. Here the IdeasSedCard is used in the phase of idea enrichment and early prototyping or testing.

On the other hand, the IdeasSedCard also helps people and teams who work in corporate cultures in which ideas are always decided too early and too short-sightedly - or in which idea enrichment generally does not work. Experience has shown that too many good ideas are left behind.

In addition to being used in innovation projects, each employee can also use the IdeasSedCard individually to increase the probability that his or her own ideas will be heard more by his or her supervisor and colleagues.

Probably the greatest benefit of the IdeasSedCard is that it integrates colleagues into the creation process of one's own idea and thus provides the necessary intrinsic perspective on the idea. Thus, this tool also contributes to the development of innovation culture. People who are part of the creation process of an idea suffer much less or not at all from the "Not Invented Here" syndrome.

In general, the IdeasSedCard wants to find out how other people perceive the ideas - it does not demand a worthless yes/no decision from the reader. In this early test, it is important, for example, to uncover misunderstandings that are still inherent in the idea - to make mistakes early or to discover them.

The IdeasSedcard is usually a DIN A3 sized form and is provided as a Word document by the verrocchio Institute. The author of the idea only has to fill in the description and title field - all other fields are then edited and filled in by the readers of the IdeasSedCard.

The form contains the following fields:
- the title/name of the idea
- the description of the idea
- the five characterization displays
- the realization time scale
- the Visual Quick Assessment
- the field for suspected obstacles
