The NABC Pitch is a short and concise presentation of a new idea, very similar to the Elevator Pitch. With both methods, you should have presented your idea to one or more people in about 30 to 60 seconds, ideally having “sold” it.

The abbreviation NABC stands, as a mnemonic, for the terms: Need – Approach – Benefit – Competition, which should provide the framework for the idea presentation.

Need: “What is the customer’s need, what is the problem to be solved?”
Approach: “How should the problem be solved, or the need be met?”
Benefit: “What value does the customer get from this idea with the solution?”
Competition: “What are the unique selling points of the idea compared to other existing ideas/products?”

The advantage of the NABC pitch is that the testers understand the core of the idea within the shortest possible time and can give their feedback on it.
