This method is very useful for understanding what a group knows and needs to know about a particular topic or innovation search field and where it wants to go. At the same time you can get to the bottom of hidden questions and discover new fields that can be dealt with afterwards.

SQUID comes from English and means squid. With this method one visualizes the question-answer strands like tentacles of an octopus, hence the name.
